Welcome to The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited – we’re pleased you have discovered us and we hope we can be of service to you again and again. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website, including the purchase of The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited. Please note that your continued use of our website constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms.


1. Currency and Pricing

All pricing on this website is in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and includes Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.


2. Shipping and Delivery

The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited delivers flowers locally and gifts all over New Zealand. Shipping rates are outlined on our website and will be charged for at the time of purchase. If no delivery or an incorrect delivery choice is selected, the correct amount for delivery to cover it or the difference needed will be taken off the value of the flowers, if only giftware has been ordered we will contact you and the extra payment will need to be paid for before goods are shipped.


Recipient "Not at Home"


The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited are not responsible for deliveries if the recipient is not at the location at the time of delivery. If you are the customer, you must make sure that the recipient will be at the location on the date given on the order form for delivery.


If there is a contact phone number on the order form, the courier may contact the recipient to check if they are at the location before they attempt to deliver the gift. If there is no phone number provided on the order form, the courier will attempt to deliver the gift on the specified delivery date.


If the recipient is not at the location when the delivery is made, the courier will try to leave a "not at home" card at the recipient's location. This card explains the situation and asks the recipient to contact the supplier.


If the courier deems the location to be a "safe" location the item will be left at the address provided. In these cases delivery will be deemed to have been made successfully. If you do not want the order left at the address please ensure this information has been provided in the order comments on the order form. The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited will do their utmost to deliver the gift at a later date if the recipient replies to the "not at home" card. Additional delivery charges may apply if the delivery has to be made more than once. Alternatively, the recipient may have to collect the order at the florist/courier's premise.


Non-Deliveries


The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited will try their best to deliver any gift, but we do not guarantee the delivery of any product if one of the following occurs.


  • Recipient refuses to accept delivery of the gift.
  • Address provided is incorrect.
  • Occupants are not at the location and do not respond to the "not at home" card left by our courier.


If one of these instances occurs, we may judge that the delivery has been made.


Timed Deliveries


The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited cannot guarantee specific delivery times for any orders, due to the dynamic nature of couriers and traffic.


At The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited we try our best to ensure your flowers are delivered on time to the right location. Unfortunately, we cannot offer same day delivery or deliver to some locations due to their remoteness. Some deliveries may be required to be collected from the nearest town or depo, if this is the case the recipient will be notified.


Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not deliver flowers and gifts to PO Boxes or Locked Bag addresses.


 

3. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Our 100% satisfaction guarantee is a key aspect of our business. If your product is faulty, we have made a mistake or you aren’t happy for any reason please contact us on 021 213 2654. We’ll discuss the issue with you and look to provide a suitable outcome. This may include a redeliver of the original or a substitute order. Any gift products requested to be returned must be in a new re saleable condition unless faulty or otherwise defective.


4. Returns & Refunds


We at The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited pride ourselves on delivering fresh beautiful flowers and other products in the best possible condition to our customers and their recipients. Of course, we understand that our products are often sent as special gifts or remembrances and we want to ensure you have the best possible shopping experience.


If you feel  The English Garden flowers (or other gifts) didn’t arrive in the best condition or have not lasted at least 3 days please let us know within this time by calling us on 021 213 2654. Once we’re confident that they have been cared for as recommended (please see below,) we will happily replace the flowers.


Care of your Flowers


Straight from the grower, to our store, then on to you – our reputation rides on delivering the very best flowers but we also pride ourselves on how long they last. That’s why, for the short time your flowers are with us, we store most of them in our flower chiller, maintained at around 2-4°C.


Flowers don't last for ever but these tips will keep them looking their best for 4-7 days:


  1. Clean your vase to remove any bacteria or fungi that might ruin your flowers.
  2. Use warm water and let it sit for a few minutes so all the air bubbles can escape.
  3. Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle, under running water if possible. This creates a wide opening to the xylem (where the flowers drink up water) and keeps air bubbles to a minimum so they don't block the water pathways.
  4. Keep away from fruit. Fruits produce ethylene, which tells a plant to ripen, and that will shorten the life span of your flowers.
  5. Place in a cool position. If you're leaving the house for a day or two, you can put your flowers somewhere cool away from fruit. The cold reduces microbial growth and the metabolic rate of your flowers, extending their life!
  6. Keep away from direct sunlight, drafts and air-conditioning.
  7. Maintain adequate water levels and change the water completely every two days.

If you have made a mistake and ordered the wrong products, please contact us as soon as you can, if your product has already been sent, we will be unable to change it.

 

Given the perishable nature of many of our products, we do not offer refunds on cancelled orders that have been picked and arranged or are out for delivery on those perishable Products.

 

Currently we don’t offer refunds, unless a product is faulty or we have made a mistake, you will be sent a gift voucher.


If a refund is to be issued it can only be made back to the credit card that was used for the original purchase. Approved refunds can take 1-2 business days to be completed

 

5. Consumer Guarantees Act 1993


The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited. In the unlikely event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.


6. Copyright

The contents of our website, and the site as a whole, are intended solely for personal, non-commercial use by our customers. No right, title or interest in any viewed or downloaded materials is transferred to a website user, as a result of viewing, downloading or copying any content on this site.

You may not reproduce (except as noted above), publish, transmit, distribute, display, modify, create derivative works of, sell or participate in any sale of, or exploit in any way, in whole or in part, any of the contents of this site.


7. Security

When purchasing from The English Garden Flowers and Gifts Limited your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 256-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 256-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard. Payments are process by the Stripe Payment Gateway which protects your information and blocks fraudulent transactions. Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider and supports PSD2 regulations.
